This film was originally called Jaadu in 1994. Shah Rukh Khan and Raveena Tandon has shot 10-12 reels of this film, but because of a kissing scene which the lead couple refused doing, they both had quit the film and the film was shelved. The film’s audio was released April 10th that same year. In 2003, the producers had decided a few none actors to fill in the blanks in the second half and the footage of Shahrukh Khan and Raveena Tandon was used in the film but the voices were dubbed over. Shahrukh Khan had shot two songs for this film as well.
